Judaism is NOT a Faith – The Judicial Proof is irrefutable. We will lay out the evidence beyond any reasonable doubt for Judaism.
Emotional appeals in court may sway a jury, but the judge will probably be yawning. He has seen this trick too many times. Well, I am treating you as a learned, experienced and very hardened judge. Forget the ‘advantages’ of religions, the traditions, the family,( Oy! the family) – Auntie Sadie’s chicken soup – Grandma’s honey cake, even forget- that fundamental superglue of secular Judaism – guilt.
So what are the indisputable facts, and “absolute evidence” for Judaism proven by those we can really trust – the non-Jews? I certainly do not expect anyone to give up their ‘lifestyle’ because of facts. But I can expect the astute mind to accept that facts are facts – even when it choses to ignore them.
So here is a summary, to encompass elsewhere on this site and as, of course, detailed and sourced in my books. These prove Judaism is based on factual evidence that can be demonstrated in court. There is not one scintilla of faith, hope, wishful thinking, muddy logic, ignoring of facts and every other factor that usually controls human behavior. Even whilst enjoying a XXXX Mac cheese-burger, you must admit to the proven origins of your forebears’ logic, history and factual evidence explaining why they would not have joined you for that cheeseburger – theoretically. [And it wasn’t because it was too expensive, or they dislike ketchup.]
The Impossible Odds: Mathematics as the Jews’ Advocate
The Law of Probability is an unbiased and unchanging tool used throughout history. It gives a compelling initial argument that can’t be ignored. If Judaism were just a “lie, myth, or mix of faith narratives,” then it should not exist today. That is possibly one of the best evidences for Judaism. As its success and survival would surely defy every probability rule.
Judaism is unique among the roughly 50,000 religions that have existed over the past 4,000 years. Every other faith or religion relies on blind belief in the claims of a single person or a small group. These claims can never be questioned. You either have faith in him or not.
Judaism is the exact opposite. It rests on the claim of a large, public, simultaneous revelation witnessed by an entire nation. Moses was absolutely not a single ‘saviour’ or messianic figure. In fact he was the opposite. He was often severely criticised and eventually punished by not being allowed into the Holy land. Yes, he went up to receive the Torah in front of the whole nation. But this did not create a superhuman being out of him. This is the Sinai Revelation to everyone. He was the holiest but ultimately simply another human being. Sinai is an historic reality within the Jewish family’s past. If this was just another appeal to faith then it can be readily disproved. That’s why no other religion has ever tried it!
If the Sinai Revelation were indeed false, it would be impossible for it to have lasted for 3,330 years. Nothing even vaguely similar has done this. There is no narrative of millions witnessing something and passing that down their generations. Not one single example. It is too ridiculous.
Of the 50,000 religions, the odds of Judaism lasting are 49,999 to 1. That’s a near certainty. It must have disappeared. Look your hand. You must not exist. Your chance of reading this as a surviving Jew is 1 in 50,000, or 0.00214%.
So, consider yourself impossible if you’re reading this post – as a Jew – or ex-Jew. Therefore, the survival of Judaism is beyond any mathematical doubt or, at the very least, “inexplicably inexplicable.” This argument leads to the logical conclusion that its survival is, for the lack of a better term, “supernatural.”
The Sinai Argument: Testimony Beyond Hearsay
The core claim of Real Judaism is the Revelation at Mount Sinai. That’s where the entire nation received the written Torah and a large body of oral explanations of that Torah. These were later compiled as the Mishnah and the Gemara, or better known as the Babylonian Talmud. This event, unlike the other “revelations”, demand judicial validity and must be open to scrutiny.
This argument depends on a continuously preserved chain of human testimony going back 140 generations. Each Jew passed on and keeps passing on the experience and the text accurately down their family line. Stating: “My father [teacher] told me that his father had told him that his father had told him…” This chain confirms only the transmission, not the initial truth of events, but it remains unbroken to this day!
Efforts to dismiss this chain of transmission as “Chinese whispers” fail. The core message—the written Torah—was carefully written, copied and preserved. Jewish scribal rules ensured that the 304,805 letters in every Torah scroll have remained identical for 3,000 years. This is an unmatched level of accuracy among ancient texts. Again, we’re talking about preserving a text without any errors through exile, hardships, and other terrible events!
Thus, the claim of a mass-witnessed event makes the idea of a hoax quite impossible. An entire nation (of millions of people) would have had to conspire to assert they saw and heard something. And if this were indeed false, imposing an “extremely demanding regime of complete self-control” on themselves and their children. Try seeing if that would work for even just 2 generations!
The Verdict of Archaeology and History
The objectivity of Judaism’s claim is also reinforced by non-Jewish archaeology and history. They consistently affirm the Jewish narrative and timeline, often to the embarrassment of secular scholars.
Existence Confirmed: The Merneptah Stele was found in Egypt in 1896 and dates to around 1210 BCE. It drastically challenged mainstream secular scholarship by stating “Israel is laid waste; their seed is destroyed.” This inscription confirms that Jews were indeed a recognized people fighting in Canaan. This is probably just a century after the claimed Exodus and Sinai Revelation.
Organized Society and Kings: Discoveries at Khirbet Qeiyafa (dating as early as 1100 BCE) demonstrated the existence of a large, well-structured society in the Judean Hills. This is a time when “experts” asserted only a few goat herders existed. Additionally, the Tel Dan Stele (1993) explicitly refers to the “House of David.” Thus, affirming the existence of a Davidic dynasty long before it was accepted by secular dating.
Language and Script: Artifacts like the Gezer calendar prove that the Hebrew script existed centuries earlier than secular theories suggest. Thus confirming the Talmudic account of the original script used for the Torah.
Our brothers from Yemen: This evidence is further backed by the remarkable survival of the Yemenite Jews. They have remained isolated for almost 2,800 years. Their genetic lineage traces back to the time of King Solomon. (around 850 BCE) Their ancient customs show that the Oral Law was preserved long before it was officially written down.
The fact that this narrative may seem unbelievable does not change its validity. The evidence, which was often uncovered by anti-religious scholars themselves, supports this case.
Wisdom of the Jewish Oral Law
The key to this now fully-evidenced continuous survival is something of which you probably have no inkling. It is the book they hid from you – in ignorance. It is The Talmud. This is completely different to the Old Testament – the Torah. The Talmud contains the ‘Oral Law’, handed down generation by generation through debate and discussion. It is the record of thousands of debates about every subject imaginable – and many not imaginable.
These are contained in the vast, comprehensive, 1.8 million-word text known as the Gemara – the ‘learning’ – the Talmud. Real Judaism is truly built on it. The focus is on its utterly mind-warping brilliance, ultimate logic, scrutiny, and encyclopedic knowledge. It is intellectually rebuttable and challenges every claim. Your family studied it passionately in every generation for the past 2000 years – or you would not have any Jewish heritage, unless they gave up only three generations ago.

Examples of Talmudic Logic
It also shows great wisdom in dealing with empty criticism. For example, here is an account of a Rabbi patiently answering a skeptic on idolatry. This is in Talmud: Sanhedrin 39a.
A certain philosopher once asked Rabban Gamliel: “Since your G-d hates idolatry, why does He not abolish the things people worship?”
Rabban Gamliel answered: “If it were only something people did not need, He would abolish it. But people worship the sun, moon, stars, and constellations. Should He destroy His world on account of fools? Rather, the world continues as it is, and those who act foolishly will be held accountable.”
The next page (Sanhedrin 39b) has the following debate.
Turnus Rufus (A Roman Senator) asked Rabbi Akiva: “If G-d desires circumcision, why are children not born circumcised?”
Rabbi Akiva replied: “It’s because the Commandments were given so that people might improve themselves. Look at wheat: it is not ready to eat when it comes out of the ground. It must be ground, kneaded, and baked. So too with the human body – it requires refining, improving, uplifting – to become more than its lowest basic form.”
Real Judaism vs. Plastic Judaism
Give up the Talmud and you end up with “Plastic Judaism”. This temporary, modern practice is self-destructive and leads to assimilation and extinction. Research shows that of 100 non-committed Jews in 1920, only 4 descendants remained four generations later in 1990. A parallel number of Torah Jews had grown to 4000!! Plastic Judaism is not a deliberate movement – but it does ensure extermination. Unfortunately, people often mistake this plastic Judaism – a sort of Xmas lunch Christianity – to represent Real Judaism. Obviously every intelligent and honest person must reject it. This has a blog all to itself.
The evidence presented is unassailable if you are intellectually rigorous. Ignoring your heritage, despite all the information on this site – requires the highest level of blind faith in secularism.
Yet, once, sitting in court, you have heard all the evidence – non-Jewish evidence – the only honest, logical conclusion is that Real Judaism is true, and its survival is supernatural. If you were on the jury – and not Jewish – you would agree.
But that verdict would or should completely change your life – and that is utterly unthinkable. You are too deeply entrenched in your wonderful, fulfilling happiness. Right? Come on. All those impossibly restrictive laws. All that kitsch. Come on. Get a life!”
Sure. but I never called all that ‘a life.’ Following a stinking, mindless herd to the slaughter house?
You know what – I think most people secretly has that problem. There is an alternative to following that herd. Just examine the facts – and forget the mindless last generation pleas about not marrying out, loving Israel, coming to the next ghastly wedding/ Bar Mitzvah/Yom Kippur service et al.
Just closely examine the evidential probity of the claims. Then think about if it should effect you.
Obviously, you can ignore this – preferring the Saturday afternoon match, a good hotdog and perhaps one or two other slight infringements of the insanely strict Jewish Law – but at least be honest about it.
