As Jews, we must ask who is the ultimate culprit really guilty of the imposition of religion on innocent mankind. And, as Jews, we must admit that must be that Jew. It is he who introduced the Old Testament. It is Judaism then, that must be put on trial!
We must be fair to the Christians and Muslims – it is just not their fault. They merely took this, dismissed the Jews as not worthy as a chosen people and employed much of it as the basis for their faiths. So, I am amazed at the continued explosion of hatred and wrath against Christians and Muslims from the atheist camp. All the endless trouble in our world caused by religion is the fault of the Jew. The Jews must be put on trial.
OK, to be fair, the others have spread it to almost 5 billion people and the Jews are dwindling from 17 million (1940) to 14 million. (2020) Having a mere projected growth of 15% compared to Islam’s 48% and Christianity’s 30%. And yes, 90% of Jews will not have grandchildren who wish to be associated with their heritage in any way. Most will be childfree. So by 2320 it’s over for the secular Jew, leaving the stage for about 5 million fundamentalist lunatics eating chicken soup. But we scrutinize that elsewhere.
Judaism on Trial: The Jew in the Dock
Nonetheless, he is in the dock. What has he to say for himself? Can he answer his accusers with inevitable evidence that support his impossible narrative that started the Abrahamic religions? Look at the galaxy of witnesses whom atheism can produce: the most brilliant minds of their times. Whom has that Jew to bring forward?
If you were unwise enough to read Book One -‘Let’s Really Try to Disprove Judaism …’ – you will have been annoyed and discomforted to learn that our judicial review proved your erstwhile religion’s provenance beyond any reasonable doubt. Its true manifestation – ‘Real Judaism’ – is something absolutely outside your experience – and comfort zone. Its evidential probity was thoroughly scrutinized and established. Your personal journey through 3000 years was closely tracked and followed. Real Judaism was proven to be invincible in strict judicial terms from non-Jewish archaeological, non-Jewish historical, non-Jewish sociological and non-Jewish live evidence and corroborated by the inscrutable non-Jewish Law of Probability.
Putting Only Real Judaism on Trial
Unlike sad Plastic Judaism that the world presumes is ‘Judaism’ – a parallel to post-Christian Christianity – is but a ghost. In Real Judaism however there is no blind faith in one man’s experience, no belief in emotional appeals, no guilt, no proofs from miracles, no justification because it needs it to be true, no brain-washing, no ‘Don’t ask, just do – or else!’ Rather you will have seen the strict application of cold logic, stunning intelligence and absolute honesty to the easily proven facts. There is no Gnosticism for the agnostic to gno-. But, OK, there is chicken soup.
The Great and The Good
Let’s examine the authorities upon whom the atheist rests his case. To the man, they are utterly ignorant of the Real Judaism that I have described in Book One and think that Judaism is just like the ‘faith’ religions. Usually, the atheist really knows only of Christianity or its aftermath.
Judaism on Trial: Albert Einstein, A Relatively Hopeless Jew
Poor old Albert Einstein is usually dragged in. Considering the man’s utter ignorance of religion, this is quite inexplicable. He knew nothing about Real Judaism and little of Plastic Judaism. But, I suppose because he was fairly bright and Jewish, he was an obvious choice. Onkel Albert’s take on the subject carries no credibility. His utterly secular family left him perhaps at best ‘proud to be a Jew’. You may have heard that one before. He wrote in 1929 to an old teacher, Friedmann, that he regretted that the original Hebrew Torah remained impossible for him even to read. An expert, already, our Albert wasn’t. Real Judaism’s approach to Einstein would be to see him as a figure who, in complete ignorance of the true wealth and academic depth of his own heritage, took up an alternative ‘religion’ or pre-occupation for his vast mind – playing around with mathematics and physics.
OK, give the Jew his due – relativity and the Bomb. His internal world of searching for the ultimate pattern, for the universal truth and his mathematical questioning and invention reveals a mind that would have run to the Talmud. His brain was that of the typical, if rare, great Sage whom you will meet later.
Relativity and Morality
Instead of a sad, promiscuous and selfish inner life, he could have – lived. This pathetic, treacherous, self-centered human failure had abandoned his wife and two tiny children in 1910 and run off with his cousin, Elsa – who became Mrs. Einstein in 1919. Whilst his first wife was pregnant he was writing love letters to his former mistress. It is also true that the world would not have had the inestimable benefit of his discoveries; but I suppose relativity should be applied to all these advantages. One could well imagine the conversation:- ‘Frau Einstein, your little Albert is such a luvely boy, and he could have been such a vonderful Rabbi. Such a head. Oy. And vot does he do? He makes a bomb! A bomb, already! Kinderlach! But at least it’s the best one anyone ever made. Proud, you can still feel!’
The Value of Brilliant Minds
However, there is every reason to quote men such as Einstein. We have been given – by the Almighty or Darwin – according to your team – a brain far too advanced for our basic needs. Come on, how great an IQ does it take to kill the odd mammoth? Armed with this phenomenal weapon, Man has perhaps a responsibility to contemplate his world and his role. Those with the greatest brains usually do best because they can get others to kill the mammoths, and still keep the tusks. Brains usually equal manipulation, represented today by money, which equals power. Thus, we value, above all, brilliant logic and rationality and promote intellectual endeavor.
Intelligence and Irreligiosity
If you can show that most brilliant and rational people – our greatest minds – do not believe in religion – you can quietly assimilate with everyone else. Well, so far so good. Or, perhaps, not so good. All the figures whom secularists quote are after all only human beings. Before they became famous, they went through the struggles and experiences common to us all. Their private lives in nearly every case would earn the severest condemnation from all religions. It is therefore ridiculous to expect them to brand themselves as ‘sinners’ and pagans by endorsing any religion. Further, every religion they know of is based on blind faith – the antithesis of their stock in trade – reason.
It does not take much brain – even for a genius – to realize that one can safely deny religious strictures and, more importantly, dispense with personal morality, provided that, simultaneously, you pretend to promote socially ‘moral’ behavior. Today we pour political rectitude over everything and pride ourselves on our saintly tolerance. We can then all continue with our chosen naughty behavior and no-one can point any fingers. Look how even smiling, lovable Onkle Albert behaved very shabbily to those he fathered, abused and abandoned.
Einstein and Judaism
In this, he was no different from the other geniuses we worship. Einstein did not have to be very canny to realize that, as a logician, he had better dismiss unproven faith and, as a ‘sinner’, he had better dismiss any religion – otherwise the world could condemn his hypocrisy.
Further he was convinced, like you, that Judaism was simply another faith. So, great men and experts are practically all tainted as witnesses, in that they are being guided by subjective considerations in dismissing religion. A little knowledge combined with personal honesty soon changes such prejudice. We shall learn below that one of the greatest minds ever (a gentile) struggled to immerse himself in Judaism – and he was a truly objective genius because Talmudic Judaism could make no legitimate demands on him. He was living as a righteous gentile should. Further, unfortunately for the secularist – as you will shortly learn at first hand – the ultimately skeptical, scrutinizing, rational and brilliant cynics are not the secularists, not the atheists – but the Talmudists.
The Rationale of True Rational Thinkers
Practically all thinking Talmudic Jews will understand everything about the mega-cool, intense – yawn – mind-blowing, mind-boggling, mind-blasting, mind-bending – yawn, yawn – awesome, psycho hallucinatory wonders of a life of continuous partying, of drink and drugs and even, can you imagine, worse. It takes little imagination to recognize all the delights of that world; the endless fun the participants seek to enjoy. They know of and have seen through the arts, philosophy, every higher human activity. Yes, Bach, Mozart, Turner, Da Vinci, Shakespeare et al are miraculous in proving the gifts a human can have. But to what end? The sheer achievement itself – art for art’s sake? Distracting others from the horrors of the jungle? Lifting the human spirit? Civilizing us?
Willkommen In Frankfort
The greatest man I ever knew told me of sitting in the cattle truck taking him to Buchenwald concentration camp. They were stopped from going through built-up areas during the day so that the thousands being taken to their torture and death should not disturb the kindly German townsfolk. So they sat in the stinking truck in the deathly heat with no food or water for twelve hours. From his truck through the slit in the side, he stared for a whole day at the proud sign – ‘Frankfort – the Birthplace of Goethe’. And that poet himself was a self-confessed animal. That, he said, was to teach him how wrong they had been to be proud of being Jewish ‘Germans’ – and ‘making Berlin their alternative Jerusalem’. To the end of their lives in Britain, neither he nor his wife ever adopted any citizenship. They travelled with ‘Stateless Passports’.
Relaxation Versus Reality
Yes, one loses oneself in today’s distractions – ‘entertainment’ – playing baseball, heavy metal, Beethoven, Spotify’s latest choice or of course losing yourself your favourite activity. There is nothing wrong in relaxation. But as a replacement for reality – it all leads to an empty, shallow and self-deceptive life. Of course, unless you are truly satisfied with ‘fun’. The Talmud speaks of all the pleasures of this world and that none are forbidden – only to be enjoyed at the right time and in the right way. This applies from the most basic to the highest forms of culture – music, literature, art – or even Zero Coke. But there is no Hebrew word for empty ‘fun’. Modern secular Hebrew uses an Arabic word – ‘Kaif’. There many words for joy, happiness, enjoyment, contentment, celebration – but not just fun.
Is Any Pursuit Worth It?
Other pursuits – watching endless ‘entertainment’, soccer, baseball, Beethoven, media, smartphones, careers, changing the world, earning a living – all are the timeless pre-occupations and occupations of mankind. But when it is all over …? The greater goals such as medicine, science and political reform are obviously worthwhile socially. But there is a balance to be struck if they mean sacrificing family, community and a genuine peace of mind. A great man who has truly contributed to others’ wellbeing will look back and say, ‘Well, I tried to do my little bit.’ However, often, tragically, his personal life has left him bitter and with a sense of loss.
Or worse, he harbours extremely serious doubts as to whether his ‘little bit’ has actually changed the world, or been contributed to a worthy cause or even will reach those it should – because of other’s greed or failings. Man has certainly improved his cave but, in a cosmic sense, he is still stuck there. Most of it is theatre without substance. Sensible middle-of-the-road Jews are often trapped in this cul-de-sac. They contribute in whatever field they can and usually prove themselves some combination of decent, valuable, brilliant, sophisticated, educated, wonderful, worthy and altruistic people. But they still ask, ‘What did it all mean?’ They have been denied the answer that is their heritage.
Jew-ishness on Trial
If they have any Jewish life, they may well see it as a meaningless world of social customs and sentiment. A generation ago their children screamed, ‘Hypocrisy!’ Now they do not even look up from their monitors/ phones/whatever is next. The ‘traditional’ may retort that it is good enough for us, thank you. They may bridle at my broad dismissal of that which they hold dear and indeed holy. But let them scrutinize it for one moment in cold logic.
Let them ask themselves whether they have any answers. Do they have answers for their grandchildren? Merely moving to Israel is but a temporary sticking plaster. Larger and more convincing settings of Jewish food, social pleasantries, humor, klezmer and Jew-ish culture replace the London or USA suburb.
Thus, it is not surprising that intelligent people like you found Judaism, as you understand it, a joke or an irritation. But you had not met Real Judaism. But what of perhaps one of the greatest minds of all time – Sir Isaac Newton? Well, that astonishing tale appears separately in our blog on him.
